Incorrect location determination

Incorrect location data can usually be resolved by yourself. Try the following steps: Disable all settings to extend battery life, including power saving mode, smart battery management, battery optimization and third-party apps. Below you will find information on the individual devices with Android 6 or newer:

HTC #

Settings > Battery/Power > Battery optimization > Not optimized > All apps > ENNIA > Not optimized > Done

Huawei #

  1. Activate “Performance” in the battery manager under Energy plan and add ENNIA to the “Protected apps”.
  2. Settings > Apps > Advanced > Ignore optimizations > Allowed > All apps > ENNIA > Allow

LG #

Settings > Battery & power saving > Battery usage > Ignore optimizations > Enable for ENNIA.

Motorola #

Settings > Battery > tap the menu at the top right > Battery optimization > Not optimized > All apps > ENNIA > Do not optimize.

OnePlus #

Settings > Battery > Battery optimization > open the drop-down menu > select “All apps” in the list > ENNIA > Do not optimize.

Samsung #

Settings > Apps > tap the menu icon at the top right > Special access > Optimize battery usage > All apps > deactivate the function for ENNIA.

Sony #

Settings > Battery > tap on the menu at the top right > Battery performance optimization/exclusion of energy saving function > Apps > ENNIA.

Xiaomi #

  1. Settings > Battery & performance > Select apps > ENNIA.
  2. Settings > Passwords & security > Location > make sure that “High accuracy” is selected under Location mode and location access is enabled.
    Problems with incorrect settings
    – Check in the settings whether the “Location”, “GPS” or similar function is activated.
    – Next, check under “Advanced” whether “Google location accuracy” is switched on and set this to “High accuracy” if necessary (Settings > Connections > Location > Search method > High accuracy).
    – The power saving function (power saving mode or similar) can also lead to impairments, as the location is only determined using WLAN and/or mobile data. Deactivate the power saving mode and try again.
    – Check under Settings > Apps > ENNIA > Permissions whether you have given the app permission to access your location.

Problems with disruptive factors #

– In some cases, the smartphone case may interfere with localization.
– Try locating outdoors. Thick walls could interfere with the signal.
– Depending on where you are, it may take longer to determine your location. In extreme cases, even several minutes
– The GPS signal cannot be received everywhere. In some cases, you may be in a hole so that no signal reaches your smartphone.
